Lake Millstatt evokes a sense of southern longing – and it delivers. Velvety water that rises to around 27°C in midsummer, long shore paths and quiet bays on the unspoilt southern shore. On the northern shore, summer resort architecture alternates with lively promenades, while liners, rowing boats and SUPs criss-cross the water. In between: cyclists and hikers circling the lake and views of the gentle Nocken mountains.
The liner "Kärnten" glides gently across the mirror-smooth Millstätter See lake, heading for Laggerbucht bay. On the northern shore, modern architecture alternates with historic summer villas. The southern shore is largely undeveloped and shines in the most beautiful natural colours. From the deck, you can see hikers on the Slow Trail and cyclists who have set off on a tour around Lake Millstatt on the Millstätter See cycle path, as well as gentle mountain giants. They invite you to explore deep into the UNESCO Carinthian Nock Mountains Biosphere Park – and to conquer peaks with the whole family.
Swim out onto the mirror-smooth lake early in the morning, build sandcastles with the children, jump into the lake after a bike tour or simply enjoy a relaxing day of swimming in a Millstätter See lido.
